I would like to propose a new perspective on how to approach the challenge of balancing work with the rest of our life, by contemplating our death. Even after creating man, God immediately put him to work in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). Work is a critical element to life here on Earth, as well the life we will live in Heaven (Matthew 25:23). God was setting an important example for us when he rested after six days of work in the opening book of the Bible.
“Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”
